What happened to the Pink Panther?! This movie sucked. Kato was awesome as always but every little gag was created for the most ignorant of our 70's ancestors.

1st half - ***, 2nd half - *.  Lewis and DiCaprio are really good at what they do but that is obvious. What the hell is Cameron Diaz doing in this movie!? Best Picture my ass, this movie is horrible. It's moodiness distracts from the story and it seems to meander without purpose for nearly 3 of it's final hours. Do not waste valuable minutes of your life on this movie! Two stars and suckit to the Academy.

**** - This has to be one of my favorite 70's British mob flicks. The movie's true grit comes from it's locale. The soot from the nearby factory mixed with the thick wet air comes right out of the screen.  Thrilling with dark humor throughout, Get Carter is a fantastic movie.

* - Yet another unfortunately animated film adaptation of a 90's comic event. The picture does however do a fantastic job of capturing the blandness of Superman. 

***** - For some reason I missed this flick growing up but I'll happily catch up now.  This is THE coming of age story for young men and it's shockingly still relevant. Beautifully shot, it reminded me of my own small town summer breaks and walks through the countryside along the railway.

RoPP offers one of the best fight scenes, ever. Sellers and Plummer play the perfect dueling (nit)wit combo in this comedy classic.

A brilliant documentary about the seedy underbelly of classic arcade high-scores.  It provides a glimpse into the politics of small people and normalcy's struggle to rise above.  Brilliantly edited with fantastic interviews and a satisfying conclusion. If you long for the days of playing Galaga over a slice of pie and a pitcher of Coke you owe it to yourself to check out this flick.
